Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and Competent Person Scheme (CPS)
After registration to the NICEIC Competent Person Scheme (CPS) your work can be self-certified easily online without Local Authority Building Control inspection. In addition to this membership of the CPS means that from March 2009, you are eligible to apply for your own Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) number, allowing you to quote for work as both a competent person and a MCS approved installer.
