The Nu-Heat range
Whatever the project, Nu-Heat designs warm water underfloor heating systems with built-in individual zone temperature control as standard. This level of control enables the user to manage the comfort requirements of every area in the home.
Nu-Heat offers a wide range of thermostats from simple dial-type through to self-learning, internet controlled systems with discreet room sensors. Our thermostats are available in a variety of different design options to suit high-tech, minimalist or traditional properties.
The additional costs of each thermostat option are automatically included within your bespoke system quotation.
At Nu-Heat our commitment to design ensures that customers always have total control over the style, warmth and control of their system.
Nu-Heat offers four distinct styles of room thermostats; Standard dial, Deluxe dial, Standard programmable and Deluxe low voltage programmable as well as two styles of wireless thermostats. We believe this range includes the best available and should cover most people’s requirements. More information is available in the Nu-Heat Options Brochure, which is available to download here.
Alternative thermostats
If however you decide to source other thermostat models independently, note the following points.
Mains voltage thermostats:
1. The Nu-Heat Optiflo™ wiring centre uses mains voltage switching. Thermostats and wiring MUST be designed for operation at mains voltage.
2. The standard Nu-Heat recommended wiring scheme provides for Live/Neutral/Earth/Switched Live at each room thermostat position. If controlled by a timeclock, the Live supply to the thermostats is interrupted during OFF periods. Make sure this is suitable for your chosen type of thermostat.
3. There is no provision in the standard Nu-Heat recommended wiring scheme for the Switched Neutral used by some manufacturers, for provision of a distributed setback function. Thermostats requiring a Switched Neutral may need an extra conductor and revised timeclock connections, this is not covered by Nu-Heat customer support.
4. There is likewise no provision in the standard Nu-Heat recommended wiring scheme for thermostats requiring a supplementary distributed Switched Live timeclock signal. This also may need an extra conductor and revised timeclock connections, and is not covered by Nu-Heat customer support.
Low voltage thermostats: 1. The Nu-Heat Optiflo™ LV wiring centre operates at low voltage and with digitally coded communication to room thermostats. It must only be used with Nu-Heat Deluxe low voltage programmable thermostats.
