Call for Heat

When the temperature sensed by a thermostat is lower than the temperature set on that thermostat then it will switch on and send an electrical signal, which is refer to as a call for heat.
In the case of underfloor heating thermostats this signal is sent to the Nu-Heat wiring board which brings on the underfloor heating pump, and will either generate a call for heat which is sent to the boiler, or in the case that a thermal store is used, heat is drawn from the cylinder.
