Because the Woods wanted to ‘do their bit’ for the environment, as well as save on bills, their home was designed to include solar panels, rain water harvesting system and underfloor heating. One challenge was getting planning permission, another was getting the right trades people to do the work. Paul, a tiler by trade, is used to dealing with lots of companies and stated Nu-Heat were “unbelievably professional.”

Paul already had some experience with underfloor heating as many of his clients had specified underfloor heating with tiled floors. “Clients recommended underfloor heating to me, so it was definitely on the agenda. We were tired of hot and cold drafts from radiators, not to mention cold feet on tiles. When we came across Nu-Heat, they offered a great way of heating our house – we just couldn’t resist,” says Paul.

“Although there were cheaper options available, we didn’t want to risk the success of our project by using inferior goods. After all, once it’s installed you want to be able to forget about it, not worry about it.”

Do the Woods enjoy living with underfloor heating?

“We thought the sales spiel about underfloor heating providing comfortable warmth was just a marketing gimmick to lure us to Nu-Heat’s products. We are happy to say, our system is brilliant. We believe this is because of Nu-Heat’s design.”

“When friends come over to the house, they all comment on how comfortable our home is – it’s fantastic.”

Asked whether Paul would use Nu-Heat underfloor heating again, Paul replied, “Without a doubt. I just wish every company was like Nu-Heat.”
