Breathtaking views stretching for 30 miles over the West Sussex countryside made journalist and author, Jane Warren, determined to have the plot at the top of a hill for the location of the home of her dreams.
Jane wanted a say in the complete design of the construction and interior of the house and an American architect designed cedar clad post and beam house fitted the bill. It was duly tailored to meet Jane's demands, and shipped from the USA.
Because so much emphasis was put on interior aesthetics and finishes to reflect the quality of the building, Nu-Heat underfloor heating was specified. It would not only eliminate the need for unsightly radiators and provide more space to arrange furnishing to their best advantage, but would also offer the most comfortable and even form of heating at economical costs.
Commenting on Nu-Heat underfloor heating, Jane said: "It's absolutely brilliant, such a cosy warmth. At first we had the temperature up too high because we didn't realise you could get the same warmth at lower temperatures than with conventional heating systems. It is the perfect heating for our beautiful home. It is a house that works in every way and economical to run at the same time".
Nu-Heat is ideal for installations such as the Deck House where various floor coverings were specified and is particularly well suited to rooms with high ceilings such as the double height lounge, which is part of the design.
