Timber Frame is the fastest growing method of construction in the UK. Over five years from 1998, figures show Timber Frame’s UK market share virtually double, growing steadily from 8% to 15%.
Timber Frame housings increasing popularity with builders, contractors, developers and architects can be attributed to faster build speed, more manageable build quality and lower overall project costs. Due to this, Nu-Heat Underfloor has developed a product called Fastrack™ that can be used in Timber Frame and traditional brick construction, to reduce the time taken to fit underfloor heating by up to 70%.
Fastrack™ enables Nu-Heat’s underfloor heating systems to be installed in one visit, on both the ground and the first floor.
Fastrack™ can be fitted in one of three ways - either placed on top of the joists before the decking is laid
- installed from below after the decking is in place
- or stapled to the side of the joists
All three options ensure that a first floor heating system can be installed quickly from below, after the first floor deck has been laid and without any impact on the overall build schedule.
Nu-Heat is the only underfloor heating company that offers this product and Fastrack™ is compatible with most types of joists including traditional timber, TJI/I-beam, Eco joists and steel braced systems.
