Nu-Heat, the South West’s largest underfloor heating and renewables supplier, recently accepted two awards at the 2009 regional presentation of the National Training Awards, held at the Mariott Hotel in Bristol on Thursday October 15th.

The National Training Awards celebrate organisations and individuals that demonstrate outstanding business and personal success through investment in training and Nu-Heat won an award in the ‘Medium Sized Employer’ category as well as the ‘Overall Category’ winner accolade.

ITV News presenter Steve Scott presented each winner with their trophy. He said:  "This year's recipients in the South West have set the benchmark high.  Each and every one of them has proven that in today’s current climate, high quality training is an integral part of both personal and business development.  It is great to see such a wide range of winners from our region go forward to the UK Gala Ceremony, it really does put the South West on the map."

You may be more familiar with Nu-Heat as a supplier of low-carbon heating and hot water systems; however, in 2008 the company launched a national renewables training programme in association with the NICEIC, a national training certification organisation, and now offers heating engineers courses in the installation of renewable technologies as well as supporting qualifications at its bespoke centre in Honiton, Devon.
