Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)

On 10 March 2011, the Government announced the details of the Premium Payment and Renewable Heat Incentive policies, intended to revolutionize the way heat is generated and used in buildings and homes. The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) policy document sets out the detailed arrangements for the scheme, which will encourage the uptake of renewable heat by providing long-term financial support to renewable heat installations. How will the RHI affect homeowners?

In order to take advantage of the tariffs available under the Premium Payment and RHI schemes, both product and installer must be approved under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). All relevant Nu-Heat products have this approval and we have a register of MCS approved installers across the UK. Nu-Heat also runs its own National Renewables Training Centre with courses accredited through NICEIC.
