What’s Nu at Ecobuild 2012!

Nu-Heat is once more exhibiting at Ecobuild, having been absolutely bowled over by the exhibition’s ExCel debut in 2011. The ExCel venue proved to be extremely navigable, and gave plenty of space for many demonstrations of eco-friendly and sustainable products and installations.

Restoration Man - St. John’s Church, Gamblesby

Dr Philip Evans and his wife Joanne bought Grade II listed St. John’s Church, in Gamblesby, in 2009 after two years of searching for a renovation project. The property uses an air source heat pump, supplied by Nu-Heat Underfloor and Renewables, to feed a low temperature heat emitting system. Nu-Heat specified and commissioned the air source heat pump to ensure exceptional seasonal performance.

The arrival of 2012 sees Nu-Heat celebrating twenty years in business.  Today, Nu-Heat is a major UK supplier of underfloor heating and other complementary heat systems including solar thermal and heat pumps.

Integrated Cornish solution

The ITV series ‘Cornwall’, presented by Caroline Quentin, recently featured Old Pear Tree Barn, a holiday let in Cubert, Cornwall.  The listed property has been renovated over the last four years from little more than a wreck by owners Susan and Simon Hancock.

Southwest Heads Take Up of Premium Payment Vouchers

The Southwest is currently leading the rest of the country in the take up of Premium Payment grants for renewable products, followed by Scotland then the Southeast. The lowest uptake has been in the Northeast and the London area.

Back on Track: RHI Update

Phase One of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is now available to businesses and communities. The original start date was delayed when the European Commission raised concerns about the tariff payments set for large-scale biomass installations, which DECC has subsequently by 60 per cent.

Subsidised Renewable Energy Training for South Devon

The South Devon Coastal Renewable Energy Network has funding available for a limited number of plumbers, apprentices and NVQ graduates who are resident in South Devon to attend generously subsidised renewable heat technology installation courses at one of three training centres. [ read more.. ]
