Nu-Heat’s silver milestone to fund life-saving support

July 2017 is a special month for Nu-Heat, as it marks 25 years since the company was formed back in the summer of 1992. We have chosen to celebrate our silver anniversary by supporting a life-saving local charity also marking 25 years – Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

A quarter century of service

Having grown from a very small team of just 5 employees in 1992, we now employ over 100 dedicated people and have designed and supplied tailored, award-winning underfloor heating and renewables solutions for over 70,000 homes nationwide.  A company with people at its heart, we are the only heating supplier to be awarded a Distinction from the Institute of Customer Service.

We plan to mark Nu-Heat’s silver anniversary with a series of fundraising activities in support of Devon Air Ambulance, culminating in a charity garden party and raffle for our people and their families at Escot House near Ottery St Mary in September. We are proud of our track record of raising money for charity, and have donated over £24,000 to good causes in the last ten years.

Making our anniversary count

Nu-Heat Managing Director, David Roberts, explains: ‘We operate nationwide, but as a Devon employer, we wanted to mark this special year for Nu-Heat by supporting a local cause that is close to the hearts of our people and their families. We work with a different charity every year and it seemed appropriate for us to show our support for Devon Air Ambulance Trust in a year that marks an important milestone for us both.

“Devon Air Ambulance provides life-saving medical assistance for hundreds of residents and visitors to the region each year, often in locations that would be inaccessible by road. We hope that the legacy of our 25th year will be to ensure that the charity’s helicopters and paramedics can reach even more people in their hour of greatest need.”

DAA Fundraising Director, Caroline Creer, added “We are extremely grateful to Nu-Heat for choosing to support Devon Air Ambulance in our 25th year of service with their own 25th celebration. Like Nu-Heat, our service has come a long way from our humble beginnings and it is with thanks to the people, communities and businesses of Devon who have supported us through the years that we have reached this fantastic milestone.

“We look forward to building a winning relationship with Nu-Heat and supporting them with their fundraising.”
