Nu-Heat has a wide range of acoustic floor solutions covering timber frame, solid, floating and raised access floors.
Nu-Heat is exceptionally experienced with acoustic floor constructions. We work in partnership with Knauf to deliver high performance, high mass, gypsum based flooring products specifically designed to work with Nu-Heat’s range of UFH solutions.
In partnership with Knauf, we independently test the acoustic performance of floors at professional test facilities such as SRL, which proves that airborne and impact noise levels meet or exceed Part E compliance of the Building Regulations. Typical applications include office to residential conversions, flats, apartment blocks and multi-storey commercial premises.
How it works
UFH tube is integrated into a floor cassette comprising construction elements proven to improve acoustic performance – meaning airborne and impact sound levels are reduced. Components vary for different floor constructions and are dependent on the specification, structure and heat output requirement. The use of an acoustic floor cassette can often reduce overall build costs.

The excellent acoustic properties of AcoustiPanel®14 mean that it will contribute towards exceeding Part E compliance standards, so is particularly suited to new build and renovation apartments. The tongue and groove panels offer high thermal conductivity allowing a quick transfer of heat into the room and create a stable floor finish with minimal movement. A low weight solution, it has a minimal height build-up of just 31mm.
Compliance with Part E:
AcoustiPanel®14 with 5mm IsoRubber-UFH-NH has been proven through laboratory testing to reduce Airborne and Impact Sound Transmission through suspended timber floors and can be used as part of an acoustic solution to achieve Part E compliance in a cost effective and energy-efficient manner.
