Requalification session open only to those who can demonstrate that they have previously held the HWSS qualification, that has expired, or is about to expire.

This session consists of 2 multiple choice question papers. Half a day should be allowed for this.

1/2 Day – Nu-Heat Training Centre, Honiton, Devon – £205 +VAT

This course is for experienced plumbing and heating engineers installing, servicing and maintaining domestic hot water systems.

The HWSS course focuses on compliance with Approved Document G (ADG) 2016 when working on hot water systems. Training covers requirements for the installation of G3 Unvented Hot Water Systems and covers systems up to 500 litres capacity and 45kW power input.

It is essential that HWSS candidates will be experienced in the installation of domestic cold and hot water systems. It is also essential that they hold one DCLG recognised competency in a conventional fuel i.e. gas, oil or solid fuel; or for those in the plumbing field an NVQ level 2 or equivalent plumbing qualification or experience.

A basic knowledge of the WRAS Water (fittings) Regulations is desirable. Candidates undertaking the course should also be conversant with the new Part G document which can be downloaded from the following link: Part G Building Document 2010.

This training course takes place at the Nu-Heat Training Centre in Honiton, Devon.

The training course lasts a full day and refreshments and lunch will be provided.
