The Microgeneration Certification Scheme or MCS is often described as the renewables equivalent of Gas Safe. Like Gas Safe, it is designed to re-assure customers that their system is installed to a high standard by a competent installer.
Although this certification is currently not a pre-requisite for installing a renewables system, it is necessary if a customer wants to claim an income from the heat produced by the system under the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).The only way for customers to unlock access to this funding is for both the product and the installation to be MCS approved.
At Nu-Heat, we offer MCS approved products with our NIBE Heat Pumps and EnergyPro Solar Thermal panels, and a full support package for installers to navigate the requirements of MCS.
Supporting Installers through MCS
Whether you are very experienced with renewable technologies or just starting out, we can offer support for MCS.
Having worked with thousands of MCS installations we understand the challenges and importance of system design, docking drawings, paperwork and commissioning and can offer different packages tailored to an installer's needs.
One of the support elements we offer is a comprehensive MCS Customer Handover Pack. This contains all the documents needed to meet MCS requirements, significantly reducing the time it takes to produce a compliant handover pack to support the end user with their system. It includes all System Manuals, Installation documentation, Docking Drawings, Manifold & Zone information, CAD's, bespoke System Commissioning documents, Services Layout drawing, Health & Safety information, User Guides and Energy Performance data.
