Roger Botley and Toni Wilde have created an elegant home with a 1930’s influence on a glorious seaside site in Somerset – right next to their existing Edwardian home!
Their new property enjoys far reaching views of Sand Bay and across the Bristol Channel to Cardiff. An architect was employed to help design the property, with an outside contractor project-managing the build.
Toni explains, “Roger and I were adamant that radiators would not feature in our new home. Apart from just hating the way they looked, it was impossible to use them due to the property’s design. The internal space was open-plan, which meant very few walls, confirming our decision to integrate underfloor heating.”
“Roger looked at a number of underfloor heating companies as we wanted to make sure we chose the right system. We decided on Nu-Heat for a number of reasons, the main ones being their system design and experience in the underfloor heating industry.”
“We definitely made the right decision; we absolutely love it. Nu-Heat systems allow complete controllability. We can heat our house to the temperature we want it. Since having the system installed, I don’t think that I have ever put on a jumper to keep warm. I have to step out onto the balcony before I leave the house to check the outside temperature. With underfloor heating you are in a warm cocoon and could quite easily forget what it feels like to be cold.”
“We are so impressed with Nu-Heat underfloor heating that if we moved into a property that had radiators, we would replace them with Nu-Heat underfloor heating as soon as possible.”
“Nu-Heat underfloor heating means that our grandchildren always play in a nice cosy environment.”
