Why choose TorFloor 2®?
TorFloor 2® is a high performance integrated floor deck and underfloor heating system for suspended and batten floors. The TorFloor 2® System replaces the traditional floor deck with a complete dual layer system.
This powerful UFH joisted floor system features 12mm pipework encased between dual structural flooring layers, consisting of interlocking chipboard flooring panels and a pre-routed printed cover boards.
The unique way TorFloor 2® is designed with AL HEX® heat diffuser technology and the warm water pipe located as close to the floor finish as possible, means TorFloor 2® delivers outstanding heat output and warm up times.
TorFloor 2® is available in three variants to suit project requirements:
TorFloor 2® Standard
Standard 22mm chipboard deck panel with 6mm woodfibre cover panel.
TorFloor 2® Plus
Standard 22mm chipboard deck panel with 8mm cement particle board cover panel. Enhanced strength and resistance to moisture.
TorFloor 2® RdB
Acoustic deck panel: 22mm chipboard with 8mm acoustic rubber layer. 8mm cement particle board cover panel. Attenuates airborne and impact noise.

Locator Technology
TorFloor 2®‘s cover panel and floor deck are both pre-routed with the pipe channel pattern.
This allows the cover panel to locate and slot over the laid pipe, ensuring an easy to install system which is tested for structural performance to BS EN 1195 up to 600mm centres.
AL-HEX® Foil Diffuser
TorFloor 2® features the unique patented AL HEX® foil diffuser, pre bonded to the underside of the cover panel.
The AL HEX® foil provides a greater surface area in contact with the pipe, transferring more warmth and minimising heat losses.
Optional cover panels
TorFloor 2® has a selection of optional cover panels manufactured from either 6mm woodfibre (Standard) or high-grade 8mm cement particle board (Plus).
The cover panel choices also allow professional installers to choose a material they are familiar with or would prefer.
Printed cover panels
TorFloor 2® features the original and first to market, surface printed cover panel. This panel shows the Omnidirectional pipe pattern on the floor face of the board, as well as warning notices and fixing locators.
The printed cover panel ensures that the pipe is not damaged when the system is installed and speeds up the fitting of the cover panel in combination with the unique TorFloor 2® locator technology.
Fluted Pipe Exits
TorFloor 2® deck panels feature a unique fluted exit pre-cut into the pipe channel pattern where it exits the panel.
This feature means that the panels do not have to be aligned precisely and makes sure that the warm water pipe, when laid – can easily be pushed into adjacent panels without the risk of kinking or damage.
Omnidirectional Pipe Channel Pattern
TorFloor 2® benefits from an Omnidirectional pipe pattern. This means that the pipe can be laid in a number of different directions without having to make changes to the panels on site.
TorFloor 2® panels can be laid quickly to avoid or work around objects such as built in furniture, pillars or awkward room shapes.

Installing TorFloor 2®
TorFloor 2® has been developed specifically for easy installation into new builds and renovations with suspended timber or batten floors.
Step 1. Prep the floor by ensuring joists are sound and insulating any floor voids above unheated spaces with mineral wool.
Step 2. Fix the grooved chipboard panels to the floor joists, as indicated in the step-by-step installation instructions. Each 22mm chipboard flooring panel features tongue and groove on all sides to connect securely to surrounding panels.
Step 3. Following the supplied pipe plan, begin laying the 12mm pipe which easily pushes into the channels.
Step 4. Fix the printed cover panels as indicated in the instructions, using the clearly marked fixing indicators. TorFloor 2®’s cover panels feature AL HEX® heat diffuser technology for optimum heat transfer and are designed to fully encase the pipe, creating a sturdy floor deck with zero air gaps for optimum heating performance.
