Installing TriPanel® floating
TriPanel® Floating’s flexible design offers great versatility and quick, dry installation that can work with irregular joist spacing and both suspended timber and concrete floor structures.
Step 1. Prepare the floor by laying a base layer of 70mm insulation over the floor structure.
Step 2. Following the instructions in your detailed installation manual, lay the TriPanel® in a brickwork pattern across the main floor surface. Ensure the panels are laid in the correct direction for the selected pipe spacings.
Step 3. Install the heat diffuser plates into the tracked polystyrene in line with the pipe spacings shown in your design. Leave a small gap between the plates and ensure you stop just shy of where the pipe turns will be.
Step 4. Starting in the room furthest from the manifold, follow your bespoke design drawings to lay the pipe. Continue until there is just enough tube remaining to return to the manifold.
Step 5. Once the correct lengths of tube are laid in the floor, and any excess has been trimmed, connect the tube to the manifold as described in your Installation Manual. The system can then be filled.
