Nu-Deck® underfloor heating
Our advanced underfloor heating system and floor deck all in one, designed for easy installation in any suspended timber floor scenario.
Why choose Nu-Deck®?
Perfect for every suspended timber floor application, Nu-Deck® provides a complete underfloor heating chipboard system that replaces floorboards in any suspended timber floor scenario.
This powerful UFH joisted floor system features 14mm Fastflo® pipework encased between dual structural flooring layers, consisting of interlocking 22mm chipboard flooring panels and 6mm printed cover boards. The result is a combined in-floor heating system and structural floor deck, independently strength-tested to BS 1195 standards across joists with up to 600mm centres.
Developed with expert installer feedback, the award-winning Nu-Deck® has been designed to be the most versatile structural in-floor UFH system available. Bi-directional grooved chipboard panels allow Nu-Deck® to be fitted to match changing joist directions and steel supports, commonly found in complex modern home construction and open-plan renovations.
Nu-Deck®’s innovative design means there’s no need for installers to spend hours re-routing new pipe channels or adding additional noggins to make the product fit your project. Coupled with our bespoke system design service and step-by-step instructions, we make sure fitting Nu-Deck® takes as little time as possible whilst providing superior heating performance.

Installing Nu-Deck®
Nu-Deck® has been developed specifically for easy installation into new builds and renovations with suspended timber or batten floors. Please see the Nu-Deck® installation manual for instructions.
Step 1. Prep the floor by ensuring joists are sound and insulating any floor voids above unheated spaces with mineral wool.
Step 2. Fix the grooved chipboard panels to the floor joists, as indicated in the step-by-step installation instructions. Each 22mm chipboard flooring panel features tongue and groove on all sides to connect securely to surrounding panels.
Step 3. Following the supplied pipe plan, begin laying the 14mm pipe which easily pushes through the foil into the channels. This creates a high contact thermal bridge for optimum heat transfer to the room above.
Step 4. Fix the printed cover panels as indicated in the instructions, using the clearly marked fixing indicators. Nu-Deck®’s cover panels are designed to fully encase the pipe, creating a sturdy floor deck with zero air gaps for optimum heating performance.

Nu-Deck® performance with different floor coverings
Different floor covering materials will affect the way an underfloor heating system heats a room and may also be sensitive to heat.
When we design your Nu-Deck® system, we’ll compensate for insulating floor coverings such as carpet and protect sensitive floor coverings like wood or vinyl.
