ClippaPlate^® underfloor heating

ClippaPlate^® is a flexible underfloor heating system that provides a simple solution in suspended timber floor scenarios. As the diffuser plates are fitted between joists, from above or below, ClippaPlate^® does not add any height build-up.

Using highly conductive aluminium spreader plates to hold pipework flush against the floor deck, ClippaPlate^® offers impressive response times.

Each ClippaPlate^® system is unique as it comes with its own signature Nu-Heat design. Our expert design package elevates the performance of your system by calculating the room-by-room heat losses of your project to optimise pipe-layouts and flow rates for maximum efficiency.

When you install ClippaPlate^® you can choose whether to fit from above or below to ensure the installation fits into your build schedule.

Step 1. Feed the underfloor heating tube through pre-notched or drilled holes in the joists.

Step 2. Fix the underfloor heat spreader plates to the floor deck from either above or below. For guidance on either method, you can find clear, illustrated drawings in your installation manual, or, if you would prefer to talk to an expert, you can give our Technical Support team a call.

Step 3. Once you’ve followed your bespoke design drawings to fix the plates in place, thread the tube through the joists and push it into the lip of the plates.

Step 4. Connect the tube back to the manifold so you can fill, flush and pressure test the system.

Step 5. For optimal performance, fit 100mm of mineral wool before you fit the ceiling or floor deck. If the UFH is being installed above an unheated space, this should be increased to 200mm.
