Mike Burke is a Director of a dynamic and innovative South West based construction company.
Mike and his Cornwall-based team offer fast-track building solutions using ‘The Kingspan TEK Building System’ for bespoke house builds, commercial buildings, educational buildings, holiday homes, social housing, apartment blocks and industrial units.
Mike has recently completed the company’s latest feat, incorporating Nu-Heat underfloor heating into a day care centre at the Lizard in Cornwall.
Mike comments, “The building contract was issued by Cornwall County Council. The priority was to employ a build technique that would construct the day care centre quickly in an environmentally sensitive way, with excellent thermal efficiency – hence our introduction to the project.”
“We bring together environmentally friendly building techniques and mainstream construction using the latest timber construction methods, with carpentry and management excellence.”
“The architect stipulated underfloor heating to eliminate obstructions caused by radiators and avoid the risk of children suffering burns from hot pipe work and this is where we were first introduced to Nu-Heat. As we were looking after the installation of the underfloor heating, we called Nu-Heat for advice on installation best practise. We were impressed with the company from the start as they were able to answer our questions, providing specific solutions for our project. This meant we were able to get on with the installation straight away.”
“We fitted the underfloor heating with no problems at all and would be happy to install Nu-Heat underfloor heating into other projects. Underfloor heating is a very effective and efficient way to heat a building.”
“We felt fully supported and have every confidence that the underfloor heating system fitted will create a comfortable and pleasant environment to work and learn in for both the children and staff at the day care centre.”
