Ultimate 2 underfloor heating

Ultimate 2 is a low build up underfloor heating product manufactured from 18mm extruded polystyrene insulation (XPS) that enables all finishes, including tiles, to be laid with confidence on a firm tried and fully tested floor build up, whether the floor make up is a solid slab/screed or a timber (suspended) deck. The panel uses 12mm pipe at 150mm centres.

It is designed in conjunction with levelling compounds (9mm depth minima) to overcome the issue of low build up floating floors moving, as well as not having a surface which allows the screed to bond properly.

We have made the panel 50% faster to install by making it self-adhesive on the underside and pre-primed on the top. Simply peel and stick to the subfloor, insert the pipe and pour the levelling screed over.

Ultimate 2 has been developed specifically for easy installation into new builds and renovations to lay over a solid or timber floor.

Step 1. Prep the subfloor by repairing and levelling concrete, insulating below joists and priming areas where the lower panels will be laid, as shown in your design. Apply edge foam to room perimeter.

Step 2. Loose lay the Ultimate 2 boards in a brick-bond pattern. (Once the panels are stuck down they cannot be removed with damaging the panel).

Step 3. Once the loose layout is completed the peel-off layer can be removed and the boards can be stuck down.

Step 4. Following the supplied pipe plan, begin laying the 12mm pipe which easily pushes into the channels.

Step 5. Once all the Ultimate 2 panels and pipes have been laid, they should be protected with walking boards.

Step 6. The top of the Ultimate 2 panel is pre-primed, so the levelling compound is poured directly over.
