Why choose OMNIE-Tile?
The OMNIE-Tile system is a low build up underfloor heating product manufactured from 20mm cement faced extruded polystyrene insulation (high-density, flooring-grade 300kPa XPS material) that enables direct application of tiles with confidence on a firm floor build up whether the floor make up is a solid slab/screed or a timber (suspended) structural floor deck.
The OMNIE-Tile panels are pre-routed and are designed specifically for use with a tiled floor finish, to incorporate a level of thermal insulation to aid with prevention of downward heat loss, as well as having a surface which allows the tiles to bond properly.
Uniquely, OMNIE-Tile places 12mm pipe at 120mm centres to minimise ‘thermal striping’ that can occur in low build up products without an aluminium diffuser.
Built-in Insulation
The extruded polystyrene material provides the installation with a layer of insulation below the floor surface.
This reduces installation time and eliminates the need for the subfloor to be insulated.
Cementitious covering
The cementitious layer on the face of the panel is applied during manufacture. The layer provides an excellent surface to bond with the tiling adhesive.
Combine straights and loop pipe pattern
Routed channel pattern design accommodates flow and returns and removes the need for separate straight or loop panels.
This means the installation can be quick and efficient, working easily around complex unheated areas and room shapes.

Installing OMNIE-Tile
OMNIE-Tile has been developed specifically for easy installation into new builds and renovations to lay over an existing uninsulated floor.
Step 1. Prep the subfloor by repairing and levelling concrete, insulating below joists and priming areas where the panels will be laid, as shown in your design.
Step 2. Lay the OMNIE-Tile boards in a brick-bond pattern. The panels should then be bonded to the subfloor using a suitable flexible adhesive. In addition, screws and specialist washers are recommended for timber subfloors.
Step 3. Following the supplied pipe plan, begin laying the 12mm pipe which easily pushes into the channels.
Step 4. Once all the OMNIE-Tile panels and pipes have been laid, they should be protected with walking boards (especially in areas with high foot traffic), ahead of the tile installation.
