Saving babies’ lives
Tommy’s is dedicated to making pregnancy safer for every woman in the UK.
Every year around one in four families will be devastated by the loss of a baby during pregnancy or birth. A lack of research means that all too often these parents receive no answer to why their baby died, and no care to prevent it happening again.
Tommy’s fund pioneering research into the causes and prevenetion of premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage, and previde vital pregnancy health information to parents-to-be.
Tommy’s goal is to halve the number of babies that are lost during pregnancy and birth by 2030, and to give hundreds of thousands more parents the joy of a healthy baby.
Supporting adults with learning disabilities
Exmouth Gateway is a social group for adults with learning disabilities in Exmouth and the surrounding area, just a few miles from our head office in Honiton, Devon. Founded in 1989, the volunteer-run club has over 120 members with a wide range of disabilities. The aim of the group is to help members develop their social and independence skills whilst giving them the opportunity to socialise with their peers in familiar surroundings in a safe and relaxed environment.
The club runs a variety of weekly activities including craft nights, discos, bingo, skittles, karaoke and quizzes, as well as day trips and holidays.
