Visit Nu-Heat at the Renewables Roadshow – stand no. 23

Joining the Renewables Roadshow once again, Nu-Heat Underfloor & Renewables has spent the last 12 months working hard to give heating and plumbing engineers even better support and develop new products and systems that give installers more services to offer customers.  

Installer conferences

A series of installer conferences gave our Registered Installers the opportunity to meet the sales team and gain an insight into Nu-Heat as well as relevant industry news. Topics up for discussion included Nu-Heat’s Installer Network, new product developments and updates on Government grant schemes.

Delegates received advice on generating their own business and discussed marketing and sales techniques using Nu-Heat’s new Marketing Support Pack, created to help installers promote their businesses to the public.

In return, Nu-Heat learned exactly what our customers are currently asking about, and we have used this information to help with decisions about the development of new products.

LoPro10™

One such product launched earlier this year and aimed squarely at the retrofit market is LoPro10™, a gypsum based floating floor with a height build up of just 15mm and excellent thermal properties that can be fitted on top of the existing floor deck. LoPro10™ can also be overlaid with 4 – 6mm MDF or equivalent for direct carpeting. Engineered hardwood or laminate floors can be ‘floated’ directly over the panel and tiles can be laid directly on to the dense rigid gypsum board without the need for a ply layer, making it quick to install.

 Installation is straightforward, as the10mm ultra-flexible PEX-c pipework is easily laid in the grooved panels in lengths of up to 60m. Unique Fastrack™ clips assist a simple run back to the manifold with pipework laid closely side by side.

 LoPro10’s™ low thermal resistance, high mass properties provide a high thermal output compared to floating floors and similar low height plywood and chipboard based systems. LoPro10™ also has one-third less thermal mass than a screed floor, allowing it to heat up and cool down rapidly – making it more economical for retrofit properties. So far, installers using the system tell us it is a ‘fantastic system with lots of benefits’.

 MCS support

2012 has also seen Nu-Heat form an alliance with Easy MCS Ltd. This relationship will allow Easy MCS Ltd customers to access exclusive introductory discounts on Nu-Heat purchases to cover the cost of their training and MCS Accreditation Support. This greatly reduces any financial barriers, opens the opportunities of this sector to a greater installer base and will increase the number of installers able to access the opportunities offered by the upcoming RHI.

Nu-Heat already provides installers with a unique, comprehensive System Handover Pack detailing all the system specification, performance and user instruction information need to comply with MCS requirements.

Customer opinions

In a survey commissioned over a six-month period and taken by 173 installers, Nu-Heat’s Technical Support came out on top of our services with an outstanding score of 9.91 out of 10, with many installers noting that the level of technical knowledge possessed by the Nu-Heat team added value to the service they had received.  An average rating of 9 out of 10 was achieved for the overall service provided by Nu-Heat to trade customers.

Nu-Heat is delighted to join the Renewables Roadshow in 2012 and to have the chance to offer its expertise to an even wider group of heating & plumbing engineers. This year is our own 20th anniversary and we look forward to the next 20 working closely with you.
